Easter Projects

I did get some of my creative mojo back. I wish I had more, as I have several baby blankets/quilts that I need to do, but for some reason I just don't feel like sewing!

I did make some Easter crochet projects:

I made this colorful banner in Easter colors. It took a bit of doing to track down the pattern. I first saw a picture of it on Pinterest, but it just took me to a Flickr post. That post referenced a pattern by Attic 24, but I did not find a pattern for it anywhere on her blog. I eventually found it on Ravelry. If you search for "Attic24 Bunting" it has a link to the free pattern.

I then saw this somewhere:

I went to the blog and found her great pattern here.  These are made using poly-fil stuffing to keep their shape. After making a few, I remembered that I had some of those plastic Easter eggs from the dollar store.  With a little re-working of her pattern, I was able to crochet around the plastic eggs!

Here they all are displayed in an Easter basket:

I love the addition of the little flower, it adds a nice touch, don't you think?

If you would like my re-worked pattern to crochet around a plastic Easter egg, just leave me a comment and I will type it up and send it to you. I wrote down what I did as I went so I wouldn't forget!

Did you know that today is the first day of Spring? It is hard for me to believe, since we had SNOW all day yesterday! Yep, that's right, it snowed here in the desert of Arizona!!  I tried to put a video on here to show you, but it just would not work :(

Since Lulu has been stuck in the house the last few days due to the bad weather, I think I will take her to the dog park today for some much needed exercise. The sun is out today and it should be near 60 degrees this afternoon, so it should be a beautiful day.  Hope you're having good weather where you are  :)
