Blog Re-Vamp?

I am thinking about making changes to my blog ... and I may even stop blogging altogether. Since I started in February, my interests have changed, and I don't crochet near as much as I used to. I'm sure one day I will pick it back up again in earnest, but I don't know when that will be. I feel like I am doing a disservice to those of you who followed my blog for posts about crochet.

I have decided to shut down my sewing blog at the end of the year. It is not getting the traffic I thought it would, and it is time consuming trying to post on two blogs.

If you have any suggestions, comments, criticisms, whatever, please let me know.

  1. Maybe just having to focus on one blog or combining the two, may take off some of the work involved. I tend to think this time of year is tough too. It's hard to post while trying to keep up with the family and Christmas time. Maybe just take a breather and post that you are taking a Christmas break...you may change your mind.

  2. That would be a sad day.. I don't think it matters if you crochet or not, We seem to be a circle of blogging friends, who like to share our day or what ever we are making... You would be missed by us all.. as the song goes. "Think it over". :)) ((()))

  3. I don't think it matters what you blog on - I would still read your posts. Sometimes it's actually nice to read a variety of different things from a blogger than the same theme all the time. Like the previous commenters have said - think it over - we'll still be here :)

  4. Oh Goodness, don't go away!!! Maybe combining into one blog? Its always delightful to visit and the main focus is whatever you want it to be. Always lovely to share a thought, a smile or just to say hi. Have a lovely, blessed day.

  5. I like to read a variety of things. Like some of the others suggest, maybe combine your two blogs into one. I think the different crafts and hobbies add interest. Hope you have a good day and continue blogging! :-)

  6. I've been hearing that quite a lot from fellow bloggers (including myself) that I want to slow down blogging. I tried to quit, but I ended up missing it...but, after the new year, I just want to blog a couple times a month because I want to continue having my monthly giveaways and check in with my fellow blogging friends that I have made in the past two years since I been blogging and I would miss them if I didn't blog. Besides, it's a good way of keeping a journal!

I think it's good to quit or slow down because only then can you discover for yourself what you really want. Good luck with whatever you decide!

  7. Sandy,

I like hearing about whatever crafts you do and your personal doings as well. Oh and about you and the kitties and Mr. S. too. Good luck whatever you decide but please don't think your blog (either of them) is boring. I enjoy reading all of it.

  8. Stop! Don't do it...just ease back a bit..and refocus. I closed mine down..but I just missed all of you so much..So you don't crochet as much..maybe you will find something else which we would enjoy hearing about..It doesn't always have to be about crochet....just share.....we'll all be here...

    Have a blessed Merry Christmas

  9. Sandy, please don't stop blogging. Combine the two blogs if you want too, we don't have to hear crocheting all the time, we just want to hear how your day went. Barb is into gourd decorating now but she still keeps her blog going. She went from crocheting to gourds, but it is all very interesting. I think I am going to cut off my book blog and just keep my other 2 going. I have a hard time finding something to write about also. So take some time off and really think it over, okay?
