'Tis the Season

First off, I want to thank all of you for your comments to my last post. It was so nice to hear that you enjoy reading, no matter what I blog about! I still haven't decided if I will combine the two blogs or not, but I know that I will definitely keep blogging. So thank you all again!

It's been a crazy last few weeks around here. I've been doing lots of Christmas crafting and sewing and trying to get all of my Christmas shopping done (whew, glad that is finally finished!).

Last week my Aunt passed away, so I traveled to New Mexico for the memorial service. She was 82 years old and it was not unexpected, but it is still never easy when a loved one passes. She is the one who inspired me to sew, as I received her sewing machine when my cousin moved her into the assisted living facility. She will be greatly missed.

This week will be spent doing my holiday baking, wrapping gifts, and doing some last-minute sewing projects.

I hope everyone is taking the time to enjoy the holiday season. It always seem to go by so fast, doesn't it? I plan to take a moment this week and sit down and read my favorite passage from the Book of Luke about Jesus' birth .... it is one of my favorites.

  1. Hi Sandy! My gosh, I'm playing catch-up here, so I'm glad at least that you've decided to keep on blogging! I have two different blogs for the time being, as the one focuses on cross-stitched blessings specifically.. But the one problem I've run across most recently is that apparently there's a LIMIT on how blogs we can follow! I never knew! So when people have more than one blog, I find I can't follow them ALL. So I always appreciate buttons, links, and references from the original blog/posts to others, and I hop all over the place from there!.. Anyways, LOVE your tree, and all your family stockings!... Wishing you blessings and lots of holiday fun as Christmas Day gets closer and closer! ~tina

  2. Hello Sandy,

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your dear aunt. I know every time a family member leaves, they leave behind a myriad of memories and thus they continue to live on - in hour hearts and minds.

I am planning on enjoying my Christmas tree and my decorations while pondering the Miracle of Christ's Birth - it's my favorite story too!

Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Christmas!
