Baby Blanket Update - Part Two

I'm not sure how it happened, but after finishing the baby blanket I looked at it and it is totally "wonky"..... somehow or other I messed up and part of it is much bigger than the other.... aaargh. I hate when that happens. Even hubby commented on it, so I know it's bad!

So now I will start all over. Think I will do something tried and true that I know I can't mess up, since I don't have much time, as I committed myself to doing two baby blankets, and the baby shower is two weeks away. Sure hope your day is going better than mine.

  1. Oh, I hate it when that happens. It doesn't look wonky in the picture. What if you blocked it?

  2. I know, it looked okay yesterday, not sure what happened! Blocking would not help, think it is too far gone!

  3. Oh, how disappointing, Sandy, because it looks really nice ont he photo you posted yesterday. I'm working on two at the same time also. One I'm making with #4 worsted weight yarn and a big hook in a fan stitch pattern (that works up rather quickly and looks very nice) and the other one is with pale yellow (or buttercup) fine sport weight yarn and a smaller hook - it's done with shells and looks more delicate and lacey. I like alternating projects, only I'm not on a time restriction.
Good luck and I'm sure whatever you chose will be very much appreciated.
Thanks for your well wishes on my today's biopsy. It went well and now I just have to wait on the test results.
Have a wonderful evening and good luck with your baby blankie.
    Doris :-)

  5. Ah, that really bites! I'm sure you're feeling like I did when I had just given away that lady's baby blankets and had to make two more in a week. Isn't it funny how we're all such perfectionists in our little crochet world. Truth be known, the baby it's for wouldn't care at all if it's "wonky". :)

  6. G'day Sandy
I hope you don't have to pull it all out... maybe just half... well we can live in hope eh?
I'm with Garden Bell the garden is sounding really fine... maybe you can do it in the garden & it will look different there... Good Luck...
