Baby Blanket Update

I've gotten quite far on the baby blanket:
One of our cats, Jethro, decided he wanted to be in the picture too! He loves when I crochet, he is always around checking out the yarn ... I call him my Quality Control cat!

I'm hoping to finish this one in the next day or two, as I need to start another one. The girl I am making this blanket for has a friend who is due with her baby around the same time... she doesn't know anyone who knits or crochets, so I offered to make her a blanket too. Karen kindly shared a pattern with me that I am anxious to try, it is a Round Ripple Baby Blanket. I've never done one before, but I love how hers turn out, so I can't wait to start that one.

I have family coming in from out of state, so I may not be able to post for a few days. I hope the weather is nice wherever you are and that you enjoy the rest of your week.

  1. Nice blanket. I'm working on two different baby blankets too, one in mint green and the other in buttercup yellow. I've been looking at free patterns online and this one really struck me as beautiful, only we don't know if it's a boy or a girl and this one strikes me for a girl in the spring time, what do you think?

  2. Doris, love the one you gave me a link for. I could absolutely see that for a girl in the spring time, would be perfect.

  4. I love that name, Jethro, especially for a cat! It just seems to fit. The blanket is great, and you're going to have fun with the round ripple. I LOVE making those! Have a great time with your visiting family!
