New Stuff Update

The 16 Bean Soup turned out delicious! I think adding the ham to it really gave it lots more flavor. Will have some for lunch tomorrow and think I will make cornbread to go with it.
We got a new vehicle also and it was fairly painless... we always buy new, but decided to buy a used one this time. Got a really good deal on one with low miles and several years still left on the warranty, plus they gave us a good price on our trade-in. So all in all it was a good day!

  1. When I see that bean mix in the store, it often comes with a ham flavour packet (that I never use) and the hambone you put in would make it even better than the artificial stuff. I love soup. I live on it in the winter.

I'm glad you're happy with your vehicle. I should have sold you mine, but the warranty runs out next month, but it's only got 11,000 miles on it and is practically brand new. I rarely use it.

  2. Yes, Doris, I threw that packet away, heaven only knows what they put in there.. LOL! I usually only do soups in winter, but hubby loves soup, so I make it often for him.

  3. Hi! Thank you so much for visiting me today! I fixed the clickable link.. Sorry about that! As for hand sewing?.. SURE! You could hand sew them! It may take longer to make one, but I imagine you could still whip one up in a night, you think? Have fun with it all, whatever you make! ~tina

  4. Yummmm, that soup looks quite tasty! I love soup, too. Wish my family liked it more. I could live on it. There's just so many possibilities.

Congrats on the new/used car. I always bought new cars also, until I became a Dave Ramsey "Financial Peace" fan. I've driven "gently used" ever since. I'm old and crabby and way past the point of needing to look flashy in my ride. :)
