I also made a mouse pad and matching coaster for my sister-in-law Becky to use at work:
Remember I said I wanted to make a knitting needle case for my neighbor? Well, I spent a good part of yesterday working on it and after it was all done I decided I just could not give it away.... the sewing was way too wonky in places.
The pocket was horrible, it ended up slanting up on one side.. ugh. I could not find a pattern I liked for one on the web, so I tried to use my crochet hook case pattern and re-size it.. obviously it did not work! I couldn't figure out what to do with it until it hit me... why not use it to hold my big serving spoons and cutlery for when we go camping? So I've got the seam ripper out and will re-size some of the openings and re-purpose it.
This morning I finally found a knitting needle case tutorial on the web that I liked and made another one...
I like this one much better.
I'm off to do more crafting... have a great day.
Oh, I really like it too and what a great re-purpose of the other one. I really love the cup wraps. What a clever idea and they are SOOO cute. But my favorite of all is the mouse pad. I want one!!!!!
